Physics revision: practice
Explore diagrams, solve a problem and see each step of the answer. Mistakes are part of learning.
24 original practice questions · Measurements, motion, energy, circuits & waves
Foundation practice for secondary Physics. Topic matches should be checked against your class syllabus.
What changes a pendulum’s period?
Change the length. Watch how the time for one complete swing changes.
Period: s
Ideal simple pendulum, small angle, g = 9.81 m/s². Air resistance is ignored. The bob’s size is fixed for clarity.
Predict first: if the length becomes four times as large, the period becomes twice as large.
About these questions and the source
These are original practice questions covering themes found in the selected 2017 Physics Topic-by-Topic Grade 10–12 Q&A booklet. Wording, numerical examples, diagrams and worked solutions were created for this page. This is not a reproduction of the booklet or an official ECZ paper.
Use this starter set for practice in measurements, oscillations and density. The additional topics include motion, forces, energy, pressure, moments, electricity, waves and transformers. The additional topics include motion, forces, energy, pressure, moments, electricity, waves and transformers. It does not cover the whole booklet or certify complete alignment to the new Form 1 syllabus. Teacher review is recommended.
SVG diagrams stay sharp when enlarged. Equations use native MathML and mathematical HTML, so the page works offline without a LaTeX service. All measurements in assessment diagrams are explicitly stated or defined by the scale.
